The Comma Method
Encountering God Through His Word
What is the COMMA Method?
Studying the Bible doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. The COMMA Method is a simple, step-by-step way to read Scripture with clarity and purpose. Whether you’re opening the Bible for the first time or looking for a fresh approach, COMMA will help you not only understand God’s Word but also encounter God Himself through it.

COMMA stands for:
C — Context: See how a passage fits into the bigger story.
O — Observation: Slow down, ask questions, and notice details.
M — Meaning: Discover what God intended the text to communicate.
M — Main Idea: Identify the central truth of the passage.
A — Application: Live out God’s Word in daily life.
This method has helped many in our church move beyond surface reading into life-changing engagement with God’s Word.
