House Church

Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

Ephesians 4:15-16

What is a House Church?

A House Church is a cross-section of the entire church, including children and teens, organized by geographic area. This structure provides a unique context for the church to work out what it means to love one another. Groups meet to help one another apply the Gospel to real life, to be together in loving relationships, and to call on Jesus for one another in prayer.

We meet on Sunday evenings to discuss the day's sermon, share a meal, and pray for each other. House Churches also seek to develop their relationships outside the weekly meeting by caring for one another and sharing life together. The people in a House Church are often the "first-responders" to whatever difficult situations may arise in the lives of the people in the group.

Joining a House Church is the best way to build authentic community at New City.
